I would highly recommend installing a ball valve with a drain on it as opposed to a washer style valve. If you purchase a decent quality ball valve it will last a very long time.
There are undoubtedly jobs that require the services of a licensed plumber, such as when your toilet backs up into your tubs and sinks, or when you require putting in a new pipe line. However, there are jobs that require not just any Trustworthy plumber but an emergency plumber, such as when water uncontrollably runs out of your faucet and toilets starts flooding the house. However, they are at a premium. How do you know if there is a need for their services or not?
Before you call a plumber to come and do a job for you make sure that you do a little bit of research on the company. You do not want to have a job done by a Local plumber who does not know what they're doing. That is simply asking for problems. The job ought to be done by someone who is able and qualified to do the job, not just any Joe Soap on the street.
Punctuality. It is the most important trait of a good plumber. Waiting for a longer time to have your pipes repaired can mean more damage to your property. A plumber who understands clients values time and make it a point to arrive as soon as possible.
